Second Citizenship for Bitcoiners

21 CBI is Bitcitizen’s global mobility desk for second citizenship and investor pathways. This service is for Bitcoiners who want more options, more resilience, and fewer single points of failure. Every file is handled with serious due diligence, and payments can be made in Bitcoin, stablecoins, or traditional rails.

We also offer certain “off-menu” options, depending on client profile and timing. If you are interested in exploring these options, please email: contact@bitcitizen.io

VANUATU

Vanuatu offers fast, efficient second citizenship for globally minded Bitcoiners; often measured in weeks, not months.

There are two investment routes:

  • Development Support Program (DSP) (donation): from $130,000 (single applicant) up to $180,000  (family of four).

  • CIIP (investment): includes a $50,000 investment designed to be redeemable after the holding period (four years).

The DSP requires a non-refundable donation starting from $130,000 for single applicants or $180,000 for a family of four.

Alternatively, the Capital Investment Immigration Plan (CIIP) is priced at $165,000 for families up to four members, with $50,000 invested in an approved fund and redeemable after four years. This results in an effective long-term cost that can be reduced to approximately $125,000 for a family of four (including due diligence and processing fees).

Citizens gain visa-free access to 90+ countries, including Russia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and all of Central America. (Note: Schengen/EU visa-free access was revoked in 2024.) No residency requirements, language tests, or interviews. Full family eligibility includes spouse, children under 25, and parents over 50.

All professional and government fees can be paid 100% in Bitcoin, stablecoin (USDT/USDC) or traditional fiat.

SÃO TOMÉ & PRÍNCIPE

São Tomé and Príncipe, an island nation off the coast of West Africa, offers investors with one of the most affordable citizenship-by-investment routes available. Through its National Transformation Fund, this program delivers a simple, remote process with clear pricing.

This option is popular with clients who want a solid second passport with minimal hassle.

  • $90,000 (single applicant)/ $95,000 (family up to four) + standard fees.

  • Process: designed to be handled remotely, subject to eligibility and due diligence.

This is the world's most affordable CBI program. Processing takes just 6-8 weeks with no residency, language, or interview requirements.

For passport holders of São Tomé and Príncipe, there are special settlement rights within the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, specifically in Portugal. This can eventually lead to an EU passport after living in Portugal for 5-7 years. This is subject to Portuguese immigration law, which may change.

Citizens of this program have visa-free access to 70+ countries, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and all of Central America.

All professional and government fees can be paid 100% in Bitcoin, stablecoin (USDT/USDC) or traditional fiat.

Bitcitizen is building a full-service Argentina residency pathway based on our founder's direct experience with the process.

Minimum investment expected: $500,000 in productive sectors (technology, energy, agriculture). The Argentine passport provides visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 170+ countries including the entire Schengen Area.
